Hello, now a days smart phones are usual. Everyone own a smartphone. We know all about the features of our phone because we buy phone only after looking at the features and its capabilities. But Are you aware of all the senses of your phone?
So let me tell you what your phone can sense. Different phones have different senses. Some phones contain a full set of sensors while other contain just important ones. If you are a android user you can search playstore and find an sensor related app to look what your phone can sense.

For example I have installed a app called Sensor Box in my android phone, Xiaomi Redmi 1s. I found the following sensors in my phone using this app. (Shown in image)
Click on any of the sensor icon and you can get values and observation taken by that sensor.
Like proximity sensor will display the value regarding how much a thing is away or close to the phone. When we call and put our phone on ears then you noticed that the display automatically turns off to prevent any undesirable touch. This is due to proximity sensor which senses that distance between phone and ear, which is less so to avoid undesirable touches it gives order to display to turn off.
Light sensor tells that how much light is falling on phone. This sensor is used to automatically controls the screen brightness. When you go in an open light area like in sunny day the light sensor senses that the light is more and the phone thus automatically reduce brightness.
Sound sensor senses the noice or sound around the phone in decibal units. Magnetic sensor senses the magnetic field around the phone. Similary other sensors like orientation sensor, gyroscope sensor, pressure sensor and temprature sensor works.
Because of these sensors we get a perfect user experience. Some of the sensors may not bw available in your phone. Like in my phone temprature and pressure sensor are unavailable.
So these were the things which your phone can sense.
