Hello, this is the third post of our blogging guide series. In this tutorial you will learn, how you can make a blog. As we already know that basically a blog is a website of special kind. So, in order to make a blog, we have to make a website. Further in order to make a website, we have to do several tasks. In this post, we will just take a overview of those tasks.

To make a blog the following things are required.
- A Domain name
- Web Hosting Service
- Blog/Web page Template and Tools
- Post writing and Publishing Platform
The above things are the things that are must to make a blog. Further we may include many more things.
A domain name is the address of your blog. Everyone has to choose a different domain name for his blog or website. By typing the domain name of your website or blog in the URL field of browser, anybody can reach to it. For Example: www.myfreshtipz.com
This is our blog's domain name. We have chosen a professional .com domain. There are many other domains like .org, .net, .in etc. There are also some sub domains available for blogs like myfreshtipz.blogspot.com
In the above blog address, .blogspot.com is a sub domain. Professional domains are available at cost but sub domains may be available for free. For more details about domain name, you must read the next post.
The next thing is a hosting service. This is the service which makes your blog presence online. The domain of your blog points to hosting. Your blog's posts, all content, template etc. everything is in the hands of hosting service. It stores all your blog's data. This service costs you monthly or yearly charges. But free blog publishing platforms are also available which we will discuss later. We will soon post a article about Hosting in detail.
Blog or Website Template or everything included in building the blog is the next major thing. You much have sufficient tools to create a blog. Template is first need for a blog. Many templates are available for cost as well as free. You may also need website or blog building tools in order to build your blog or website. We will clear all details about this in the comming post of this series.
These all things are required when you build a blog but after building you have to write, edit and publish the posts. For this you need publishing platform. There are currently many platforms blogging. The most famous platform is wordpress. As like other things we will discuss about this later in this series.
There are some other major and minor things you must do to make a blog properly. In the next post we will learn about domain name and about the selection of a domain name properly.
