Start Blogging, but from where?
Hello, this is the sixth post of our blogging guide series. In this post we will get idea about how to start blogging and from where?

If you are a newbie to blogging, you may have many confusions about blogging. Let me try to resolve those. You are just at the starting line. Now if you want to start blogging, you have many ways to go on. We have already discussed about blogging platforms. In this article, we will firstly know about those platforms. There are many online blogging platforms available. Two most popular blogging platforms are Blogger.com and wordpress. There are some other platforms online, but these are the most popular ones. Let us briefly discuss about both these platforms.
- Blogger.com is a Google Service, which let you to create a free blog under a subdomain '.blogspot.com'. You can make a blog on blogger by using your Google account. It provides you a very nice and clean platform for blogging. The best thing of blogger is its free. If you have purchased a professional domain name, you can use it for your blogger blog as a custom domain name. Blogger provides you many features and custom options. We will discuss about Blogger later in this series.
- The next blogging platform is wordpress. There are two wordpress websites, one is wordpress.com and the other is wordpress.org. In wordpress.com, you can create a free blog under a subdomain '.wordpress.com' but under limited features and also create a blog under professional domain but at cost, not for free.
- Wordpress.org is the most popular publishing platform. You need to buy your own domain and hosting service first from anywhere. After that you can use wordpress.org, which provides you complete publishing, posting and blogging platform.
These are some other platforms also. You may have look around them also by searching Google. There are some things, which you must finalize before you start thinking about making a blog. These things are:
- Make Sure what type of blog you want, i.e. select the topic (topics) of your blog. Example: A personal blog, A food blog etc.
- Choose only the topics in which you are interested and can write about them easily. This will help you to lead a blog easily.
- Be sure about using a free or at cost service. Like using a free blog under a subdomain or making a professional blog under professional domain and hosting.
These are the two important things you must think before.
