Best way to Search Online on the Web
Hello everyone, those were the days when we search for anything in fluffy books, newspapers, encyclopedias and other texts. But now technology has changed everything. Whenever we want to know about anything, we search the web. Searching the web gives us instant answers to our basic questions. But sometimes we may face many difficulties in finding the correct source we want.

When it comes to search online, we mostly prefer a Google Search. But can a Google Search always gives the right source you want?. I have noticed that when it comes to search online most of the people just search Google to find their required source. They are right, because nowadays search is so advance that in most cases you find the required thing just by searching easily. But in some cases, we want more and more details about something, then a single search may not help us. We need the right source. So, in this article I'm going to tell you some tips and tricks of searching the contents on the web.
When I was new to internet, I just know a name, Google. I thought that Google gives answer to every search. But after experiencing the web for years I perfected my views about Internet. Now I know the ways how I can search the best. Let me share those ways with you.
Assume that you want to search about some particular thing. For better understanding, I am taking am example along with explanation. Suppose that I want to search about 'Diwali'. (Its a famous Indian Festival)
Let's search the web stepwise.
Google Search, The first step is always a Google Search. Further there are thousand different ways to search on Google. We need different type of information about different topics. Taking my example, I can search as following:-
Simply 'Diwali', 'History of Diwali', 'Diwali Celebrations', 'Diwali in India', 'Diwali of Amritsar', 'Why Diwali is Celebrated?', 'Diwali Gifts', 'Diwali 2015', 'When Diwali is Celebrated'? etc.
Different searches gives different results. That depends upon you what type of results you want. Like If I want to know about history of Diwali then I will search just for history. Further Google will show you the links. Which link is to be chosen from, that also depends upon you. Here are some tips to select the links.
1. Prefer the most popular and Trusted Sites. Choose the sites which are rated higher by the users. For example, Wikipedia is the most trusted source to find details about any topic. Google also ranks the Wikipedia resources at the top of the search. There are also hundreds of more most popular sites. A regular Internet user may easily identify the popular and trusted sites. You many find reviews about different sites online.
2. Identify what form of information you required. Do you want information in text or in a video. As Google is best to search the textual contents, other sites like Youtube are good to find video sources. If you require video only, you can directly search on a video related site or select Video option from the top menu of Google search to list all the video results.
3. If you want regional information like, information from a particular country, you can select location preferences in the search too. Google search provides all these features.
4. Some content information depends upon time. For example, many people want information which get updated regularly like, news, sport scores, schedules, music movies etc. Like you want results from the past few months only. You may select timing options in the Google Search too. This saves your time and make the search easy.
Google Search provides some special features. By using which you can directly get your final results in the Google Search without linking to any other site. I have listed some of these features below.
To search Time: Search as 'Time in ..........'. Fill .......... with the location of which time you want. Example: Time in New Delhi or Time in India. By searching like this, you can directly get the time of required location without linking to any other site.
To Convert various physical quantities: Here I have just given examples, you can understand this thing well. Like, Grams in 25.7 Kg, 34 Kg in gram, 78 kilometres in metres, 1.5 GB in MB, 92°F in Celcius. etc.
There are also many other, this type of features available.
5. The last thing your own Intelligence. You can yourself choose the best source you want. A little knowledge about Internet and may help you. As you use the Internet for some time, you can yourself differentiate what is best, and can yourself realize where you can get the right answer to your question.
