Hello everyone, This a detailed post about How a computer is completely built?

In today's world there are many types of computer available. Computers may be seen everywhere in different form.

Your Phone, a computer. 

Your Laptop, a computer. 

Your Desktop, a computer.

Etc.......

By the way In this post we are going to talk about Desktop PC. I have categorized the post properly, so that you can understand each and everything quickly. After reading this post, you will be able to know, how a computer is built and this will surely help you the next time, you'll have trouble with your computer.

Lets get started.

Parts Required.

The things you required to build anything are its parts and components. Computer is made up of hundreds of components. But you need not worry to remember all of them. Actually there are only a few major components required to run a computer.

These are:-

• Motherboard
• RAM
• Processor
• Hard Disk
• Power Supply

The combination of above things can be called as a PC. The other necessary parts are Monitor, keyboard & mouse to operate the computer.

Actually, If you have all these parts, you can easily run a Desktop PC. Therefore, these are the necessary parts that a computer have. All other parts are additional.

Let me briefly explain Each of the above parts.

Motherboard: As the name suggests, its the mother of your PC. All the components are fixed on it. Each and every part of your computer is connected to motherboard. Motherboard provides the base for your computer. In look, its a very complicated circuit board having thousands of tiny capacitors, resistors like things on it. Further there are many layers inside it. Its really an incredible mechanism. There are various types of motherboards available having various types of features and ability.

A Motherboard

RAM. Random Access Memory, Its the temporary memory of your computer. Every time, your PC boots up, all the things run up, use RAM. RAM decides how much things, the computer can handle, per unit time. Various RAMs having various capacities are available.

A RAM

Processor. The RAM and processor, together works as the brain of computer. All the data is processed by Processor. Its the most valuable part of your computer.

A Processor

Hard Disk. Simply Store all the  data. As like all  other parts available in various capacities.

A Hard Disk

Power Supply. The main power supply is first given to it. It divides that power in many different wires, which is further connected with all other components. In short, Power supply is the Power Source for all computer components.

So, these are just the required components to build a running CPU. All these components are fixed in a Case. Further to use PC, monitor, mouse & keyboard are required. A desktop PC can easily be run using these parts.

Let us talk about the additional parts. Below, I have listed some additional parts that are popularly used.

CD/DVD reader/writer - To read & burn cd/dvd or even other types of disks like blue-ray.

Wireless Card - To enable Wireless Connections

Graphic Card - To Enhance Graphics Performance. 

There are many other devices like: printer/scanner, touch devices, speakers etc.

Joining the Parts

Joining the parts look like a complicated work, but its as much easy like joing children blocks.

All the major components are available premade, we just need to fix them with the motherboard.

Let me tell you why it is easy?

Each unique component has its unique wire socket and motherboard has a unique socket to fix that parts. That's why its like joining puzzles. Anybody can join it easily.

We need computers for various purposes. For this, specifications of various computers are different. Its depends on the components installed.
